Rupe’s script, however, does give Trevor Southworth a showcase role, into which the actor deliciously sinks his teeth. Southworth’s bravura performance, however, completely eclipses that of co-star Cristian Nieves. As director, Rupe has let Nieves be so low-key — to emphasize the contrast? — that his flat delivery is swallowed up by the large Orange venue.
